We are once again actively pursuing additional members. There is no age requirement, only a desire to ease the financial burdens of seniors living on Long Island. The cost of membership is only $6 a year and includes a spouse or significant other at the same address. We are concerned for the welfare of seniors and those soon to be seniors. The population of long Island is aging and of course we are the most vulnerable, the handicap, the disabled and the sickly, and don't for one minute think that our elected officials are not counting on our plight to stick it to us. We must unite to form a coalition of voters unequal in our mass appeal for equality. Numbers equal strength and every voice counts, the larger the numbers the louder the voice. Now is the time for the individual to stand up and be heard. Step forward and raise your heads high in the fact that we ALWAYS answered the call of our great nation. World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and not once did we ask for any thing. To be treated this way in our Golden Years is despicable. We will not be tread upon. Together we can succeed and accomplish our goals. Members should be recruiting new members. Everyone one of us must be actively participating to increase our membership.
